CGTN, the China Global Television Network, is the international broadcasting arm of China Media Group. It produces English-language news, current affairs, documentaries and cultural programming for a worldwide audience, with some content also listed in Chinese, and positions itself as a Chinese perspective on global events. The network runs regional production operations including hubs for the Americas, Europe and Africa, and the service indexed here is carried in the United States on a number of low-power stations. CGTN adopted its current name in 2016, succeeding the CCTV-NEWS channel.
