CCTV-Entertainment

CCTV-Entertainment is an entertainment-oriented channel from China Central Television, broadcasting in Chinese to audiences throughout China. It operates in 576i standard definition, a format widely supported by cable, satellite and terrestrial receivers across the country. As an entertainment service, its remit covers the lighter side of the schedule, such as variety shows, music, comedy and general amusement programming, complementing the news, documentary and specialist channels that make up the wider CCTV portfolio. Being part of China Central Television gives it access to the group's production capacity and nationwide carriage, so its output reaches a broad domestic audience rather than a narrow niche. Viewers seeking official schedules, programme notes or channel information can consult the broadcaster's website at tv.cctv.com.
