CCTV-5+

CCTV-5+ is the supplementary sports channel of China Central Television, launched in August 2013 to handle the overflow from the crowded schedule of CCTV-5. It carries live events that cannot be accommodated on the main sports channel, together with recorded coverage, highlights and sports documentaries, spanning both domestic leagues and international competitions. The channel broadcasts nationwide in Chinese and is listed in the index for the domestic market. During multi-event periods such as the Olympics it plays a key role in CCTV's expanded coverage. Official schedules and authorised viewing information are published on the broadcaster's site, tv.cctv.com.
