CCTV-11

CCTV-11 is China Central Television's channel dedicated to traditional Chinese opera and the performing arts. Its schedule features full-length performances and excerpts from Peking opera and dozens of regional forms — Yueju, Huangmei, Yuju and Cantonese opera among them — alongside storytelling, folk music and variety segments rooted in traditional performance. Launched in July 2001 as part of CCTV's expansion into thematic channels, it remains the most prominent national platform for Chinese opera on television, serving dedicated opera audiences as well as younger viewers encountering the art form. The channel broadcasts nationwide in Chinese, with HD and SD versions listed in the index. Official schedules are published on the channel's page at tv.cctv.com.
