ABC TV

ABC TV is a television channel based in Australia, with programming centred on general content. Programming is presented in English. It operates as part of the ABC Television network. The channel first went on air in November 1956. The service targets a domestic audience rather than an international one. It is operated under Australian Government. The channel transmits in high-definition 1080i. Channels in the general category usually focus on a mixed schedule of series, films, news and light entertainment, and ABC TV follows that pattern. For programme schedules and official viewing options, the channel's own website (linked here) is the authoritative source.
