AXN Black

AXN Black is an action entertainment channel from Sony Pictures Television, launched in September 2023 as part of the brand's expansion into free streaming distribution. Its schedule leans into the harder edge of the AXN identity: action and crime series, thriller films and adrenaline-led programming from the Sony library and acquisitions, programmed for the free ad-supported audience. The channel operates alongside the lighter AXN White in a two-flavour strategy that segments the brand's catalogue by tone. AXN Black's official website, axnblack.com, publishes programme and platform information for viewers. It extends Sony's AXN franchise into the fast-growing free channel market.
