ARD-alpha

ARD-alpha is a television channel based in Germany, with programming centred on education content. Channels in the education category usually focus on instructional courses, lectures and learning-focused programming, and ARD-alpha follows that pattern. The service targets a domestic audience rather than an international one. The service is owned by Bayerischer Rundfunk. The channel first went on air in January 1998. The channel transmits in standard-definition 576i. For programme schedules and official viewing options, the channel's own website (linked here) is the authoritative source. TVChannel.world indexes this channel as part of a worldwide directory of television services, organised by country, category and language.
