Alhurra

Alhurra is a television channel based in United States, with programming centred on news content. The channel first went on air in February 2004. The service is owned by Middle East Broadcasting Network. The channel transmits in standard-definition 480i. Its broadcast footprint extends across Iraq, reaching viewers beyond its home market. Programming is presented in Arabic. Channels in the news category usually focus on news bulletins, current-affairs discussion and rolling coverage of major events, and Alhurra follows that pattern. Official information, schedules and any authorised viewing options are published on the channel's official website, which is linked from this page.
